Job scope of a Data Science Specialist
You are responsible for using programming languages like Python to extract, transform, and load data for analysis and modelling. You will also be well versed in AI development, building and training machine-learning tools to solve specific business problems, develop predictive models to forecast future trends and apply statistical analysis to validate hypotheses.
You are also a data visualisation expert who can use data visualisation tools and techniques to communicate insights effectively. Your work of analysing and interpreting data will enable business decisions to have a higher probability rate of success.
Course Overview
Our Professional Diploma in Data Science is a train-and-place programme designed to help individuals transition into careers in data analytics. This programme equips learners with industry-relevant skills in data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence. Through a hands-on learning approach, learners gain practical experience in analysing data, building predictive models, and applying AI-driven solutions to real-world business challenges across sectors such as finance, healthcare, technology, and retail.
The programme covers key areas including Data Modelling & Visualisation, Generative AI, Python for Data Science, Machine Learning Algorithms and Methods, Deep Learning, and Agile Project Management. Learners will also complete a Data Science Modelling Project that integrates project planning, data preparation, model evaluation, and practical implementation, preparing them for roles such as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, and Business Intelligence Professional.

* Total pathway duration is subject to programme schedules and depends on diploma completion and degree intake dates. The overall duration may be extended due to academic calendar gaps between programmes.Â
Only the Professional Diploma (which is an SCTP course) and the bridging modules are eligible for up to 95% funding support, including SkillsFuture Credit and PSEA. To provide high affordability for our learners, the master’s degree top-up modules are priced at just $2,000 (excluding GST and Fee Protection Scheme).

Yes, our training programmes are mapped onto the Skills Framework (SFw). This is a national framework that companies are using to develop human resource capabilities that include the development of job profiles, recruitment and interview checklists among many others.
Our job placement assistance backed by more than 10 years of track record has helped an average of over 500 locals to transit to high-growth digital jobs each year, but we do not guarantee any job placement. We provide assistance that improves your chances of securing your desired digital job.
We have worked with thousands of hiring companies over the past decade and at any point in time should have more than 100 active hiring companies which consist of both SMEs & MNCs across multiple sectors.
Some of our employers preferred younger candidates and we also have employers who preferred mature ones. These employers recognised that mature candidates would cherish employment opportunities more than the younger ones and be more responsible and reliable at work.
Exemption will be on a case-by-case basis but largely for learners who already have the same certifications residing within our programmes.

The timing of the part-time training sessions is 7pm to 10pm, around 2 to 3 sessions per week. Please take note that there are self-learning components outside the training sessions which need an additional commitment of hours per week.
