In the Agile Management Capstone, participants will apply acquired knowledge, skills, and principles to deliver a transformative HR project using Scrum.

The capstone begins with mapping business value and strategic outcomes, leading to the creation of an HR-specific Product Vision, Product Goal, Product Backlog and Release Plan. Participants will engage in Sprint Planning and Product Backlog Refinement with their Scrum teams to manage the iterative delivery of value and outcomes for their HR initiatives, ensuring a steady pace of progress. Participants will also identify and track specific metrics for success to ensure optimal use of resources and a customer-centric approach to HR projects and initiatives. Participants will also implement Scrum practices within their HR teams and the wider organization and formulate a Learning Plan using Scrum events and Agile Principles to integrate continuous learning into the organizational culture.

Throughout the capstone, participants actively execute Scrum events, actively assuming the Scrum roles of Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Developers throughout the project. This involvement aims to foster collaboration, enhance team communication, and improve responsiveness and adaptability to HR-related changes. As part of project delivery, participants engage in Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Project Reviews, and Continuous Development Plan Reviews that provide opportunities to reduce project risks, acquire critical feedback, increase the adaptability of the team and develop expertise.
