Course Brief
The Advanced Certificate in Cyber Security is a five-module programme that develops learners’ competencies progressively, from core IT infrastructure fundamentals to practical cybersecurity and cloud security skills. The course opens with Fundamentals of Servers and Fundamentals of Network, developing hands-on skills in server administration, virtualization, storage, and networking — covering installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and data security, with an introduction to AI-assisted infrastructure and network management. Learners then progress to Install, Configure and Administer Server, applying these foundations to Azure cloud identity, virtual networking, storage, virtual machines, and PaaS compute services, building practical cloud administration capability.
The programme then transitions into applied cybersecurity, beginning with Security Fundamentals, aligned to the EC-Council Certified Cybersecurity Technician programme, which builds foundational skills across network defence, ethical hacking, digital forensics, security operations, cryptography, and business continuity through extensive hands-on labs. The course concludes with Cloud Security, aligned to EC-Council”s Certified Ethical Hacker programme, focusing on securing cloud environments — developing practical skills in identifying and assessing cloud security threats and vulnerabilities, securing cloud infrastructure and data, managing identity and access, conducting security assessments and penetration testing, and responding to security incidents.
Together, these five modules take learners on a structured journey from IT infrastructure fundamentals to hands-on cybersecurity and cloud security practice, equipping them with the technical grounding and applied skills to identify vulnerabilities, secure systems and cloud environments, and respond to security incidents. Graduates will be well-prepared for roles such as Cloud Security Technician, IT Support Associate, and entry-level Ethical Hacker or Security Analyst positions.
