To encourage employers to take on mid-career switchers, Workforce Singapore offers funding support through the Place-and-Train career conversion programme, where your company can hire PMETs before they undergo training to take on new job roles.

• For Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents below 40: Up to 70% of monthly salary (capped at $4,000/month)
• For Long-term Unemployed* Singapore Citizens or Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above: Up to 90% of monthly salary (capped at $6,000/month)
* Defined as being unemployed and actively seeking employment for 6 months or more

Career Support Programme
Workforce Singapore’s Career Support Programme (CSP) is a salary support programme to encourage employers to hire eligible Singapore Citizen Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs).
Your company can receive up to $42,000 salary support for hiring eligible Singapore Citizens.
Here are the various salary support available:

• First 6 months of employment: 50%
• Second 6 months of employment: 30%
• Third 6 months of employment: 20%

Gross monthly salary (the sum of the new hire’s monthly basic pay and any regular allowance given on a monthly basis): Offering at least $3,600/month. The funded gross monthly salary is capped at $7,000/month.
Note that as companies have already received salary support under this programme, they will not be eligible for absentee payroll support from SkillsFuture SG.

In this programme, companies provide Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents with attachment opportunities while they undergo training. Workforce Singapore provides your company with funding support for the trainees’ allowance.

• Up to 70% course fee funding. (The course fee will be borne by Workforce Singapore and trainee.)
Training allowance
• WSG funding of between 50 - 70% of prevailing salary, capped at $4,000/month
• Your company needs to co-fund at least an additional 10% of your trainee’s prevailing salary
