As a System Administrator, you will manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of your organisation especially in areas of server and network. You will also oversee any system integration or implementation to ensure the continuous evolution of your IT platform.
Prior system support experience is needed to gain entry into this job role.

• Implement, maintain and manage infrastructure services of Windows Server 2012. (equivalent to MCSA: Windows Server 2012).
• Install, operate and troubleshoot a small to medium-sized network (equivalent to CCNA).

How are candidates approved for Train and Place (TnP)?
Candidates are not automatically approved for self-funding their training even if they want to take up the training programme. They need to demonstrate they can be employed and placed in order to be accepted into the training programme.
What are the approval processes to qualify candidates for TnP?
Only Singaporean and PR candidates can qualify. Candidates need to pass an online assessment test and their basic competencies are also taken into consideration. Their aptitude and attitude for training is also assessed.
How does Train and Place (TnP) work?
In Train and Place mode, candidates self-fund their training and are not already hired at the point of enrolment. Once hired, the potential employer does not need to cover any components of the training which has been paid for.
What is the funding for training?
Training funding applies only to certain individuals in specific age groups. The amount of funding varies depending on qualifying criteria. The table below illustrates the funding amounts.
Am I eligibe for the SkillsFuture Qualification Award (SQA) when I complete the Professional Diploma?

Can a talent be hired under a different job role than their training programme description? Eg. Training is for Digital Marketing but hired under Operations Manager role.
No, the job role must match the training. This is to ensure meaningful application of acquired skills to the requirements of the job.
What happens if I need to resign from my job after being placed under TnP before my training is completed for my Professional Diploma?
As you are self-funding your training, you can continue to finish your training to receive your Professional Diploma. There is no other hidden penalty for doing so.
