This course is designed to focus on the issues related to the implementation and management of ERP Systems. The course aims to provide a course of study that will

• Enable students to make critical assessments in using and implementing ERP Systems.
• Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of students so that they can contribute at a high level to the creation and adoption of a systematic, professional and quality approach to ERP Systems.
• Provide professionals already working in the ERP industry with the skills and knowledge they need to maximize contribution to their organizations.

The Master of Business in ERP System program provides students with an integrated learning methodology conducted in both Full-time and Part-time schedule. It extends to 18 months in a conducive and well-equipped classroom environment.

The program is 100% delivered in Singapore and conducted by Victoria University lecturers and Council of Private Education (CPE), Singapore approved lecturers. Students will gain 24/7 access to Victoria University's SAP servers from Australia using the latest training version of SAP ERP.

BCO6653 Management of Information Technology (36 hours) 
The aim of the unit of study is to impart knowledge and develop competencies in the management of information technology. The major topics are drawn from: a framework for the management of information technology, the strategic use of information technology, information technology planning, business continuity planning/disaster recovery planning, information technology architectures, change management and IT, investment in IT and risk management, network usage policies, organization of IT, global aspects of IT management, ecommerce and IT management.

BCO6656 Information Technology Project Management (36 hours) 
This unit aims to give Information Systems and Management students an appreciation of the importance of a thorough understanding of contemporary project management techniques, both technical and human. It concentrates on both the management of IT projects and the use of computer software in the management of these and other projects. It also aims to show how knowledge of the appropriate application of such skills is becoming vital to Information Systems professionals and managers in the performance of their many functions in an organization.

BAO6714 Computerized Accounting in an ERP Systems (SAP FI) (36 hours) 
The aims of this unit of study are to demonstrate the use of integrated information systems in medium to large size organizations and to demonstrate how these systems facilitate the production of accounting information. Students will develop sound theoretical knowledge of the use of ERP systems, in conjunction with competency in the practical use an ERP system to facilitate financial and management accounting. Topics include: overview of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, general ledger, financial reporting and management reporting in an ERP system; hardware/software acquisition alternatives; control in an ERP information system, and accounting evaluation of an ERP implementation.

BMO6506 Work and Organisation Systems (36 hours) 
This unit of study examines the major organizational system issues that managers need to understand and respond to in the context of significant changes in the world. These issues are considered in terms of the interaction between people and the organizational context within which they work. The unit of study emphasizes two approaches. First, to gain knowledge and understanding of human behavior and organizational systems/structures through applied learning opportunities and, in the process, learn how to be a more effective leader and manager. Fundamental concepts about organizations, individuals and groups in relation to leadership and management are themes included. Second, because reflective practice is at the heart of critical thinking, students will be asked to take a critical approach to their practice, and the context in which they work.

BCO6672 The Information Systems Professional (36 hours) 
This unit develops skills and capacities of an ICT professional including ethical behaviour  ICT, communication and management skills  within a variety of professional scenarios. to The unit critically evaluates contemporary issues relevant to an ICT professional such as professional values and ethical codes of conduct related to working in local and global communities and individual responsibilities within these. The unit also includes the role and importance of professional standards organisations, business processes (eg negotiation, procurement and tendering), professional competencies (eg risk analysis, feasibility studies and quality assurance) and contemporary issues (eg security, privacy, internet censorship, workplace surveillance and digital intellectual property) required to contribute to an equitable and sustainable world.

BMO6630 Business Research Methods (36 hours) 
To be successful organizations not only need to base their business decisions on evidence but also know how to collect and analyze this evidence in a cost effective manner. This unit of study will enable the student to understand the principles involved in planning and executing a research project, conceptualise a research problem and to assess it in the context of current knowledge on the subject, operationalize concepts to formulate and to test hypotheses, develop or select appropriate measurement instruments for data collection and hypotheses testing, understand the principles for collection and analysis of data and other information and write reports and review the results of research.

BMO6603 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (36 hours) 
This unit of study investigates the use of integrated computer-based information systems, commonly referred to as Enterprise Resource Planning systems, designed to support a large organisation's information needs. This unit considers issues associated with the analysis, design and implementation of such systems and investigates how such systems implement transaction processing, management information systems and executive information systems across an organisation's various business processes.

BCO5501 Business Process Engineering (36 hours)  
The unit of study is concerned with the strategic and organisational issues of process management and the use of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs) to realise efficient processes. Designing and implementing efficient business processes can provide important strategic advantages for businesses. This unit of study will describe the major strategic approaches' used to understand, analyse and implement efficient business processes. Workflow modelling techniques, process modelling techniques and procedure models will be presented and practiced. SAP R/3, as an example of Enterprise Application Software, will be used to examine the issues that students are likely to encounter in identifying, reorganising and implementing processes in a typical business organisation.

BCO6604 Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) (36 hours) 
The subject will examine different aspects of the way that a firm can practice CRM with content potentially drawn from topics that deal with marketing and planning, campaign management, e-marketing, lead management, analytics, customer segmentation, service order support and customer processing. Both theoretical and practice content will underpin the subject – with student learning being based on using a combination of computer-based exercises, case studies and industry speakers.

BMO6624 Organization Change Management (36 hours) 
This unit of study aims to enhance students' knowledge and understanding of organisational design, organisational change processes and organisational development and change; and to advance students' skills and competencies in the diagnostic processes for assessing the need for change and the development, implementation, and evaluation of change strategies at all organisational levels. The themes covered will include: An introduction to organisational development and change and different types and philosophies of change; managing change in the contexts of organisational culture, politics, gender and leadership; managing incremental change and the development of intervention change strategies at all organisational levels; the organisational change agent and the diagnostic process; managing discontinuous change; learning environments, systems thinking and change in organisations.

BCO5651 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Implementation (36 hours)  
The aims of this unit of study are to provide students with an understanding of the basic methodologies, techniques and tools that are used in the implementation Enterprise Resource Planning Systems using SAP R/3 as an example. It also addresses the issues that need to be considered for successful implementation. Topics include: ASAP Project life cycle, Implementation strategies, Change Management, Data conversion, Implementation Testing, Implementing project reporting.

BCO5647 Application Programming Techniques (SAP ABAP) (36 hours)
The aim of the unit of study is to extend the knowledge of introductory programming techniques; provide students with practical experience in programming with an emphasis on commercial applications with a business oriented language; introduce students to data structures. Topics include: key features of the programming language in use; structured tools and techniques; data manipulation; report generation; file structures; interactive processing.

BMO5565 Human Resource Information Systems (SAP HR) (36 hours)
This unit of study aims to investigate factors associated with the analysis, design and implementation of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS's). The unit of study covers issues in needs analysis, user requirements, system selection and practical use of HRIS software that students are likely to encounter in a typical business organisation. It also includes a study of the change management issues associated with HRIS implementation and the development of HRIS's for strategic purposes.

BGP7730 Business Research Project (36 hours)
The unit provides students with the opportunity, either individually or in teams to apply an advanced body of knowledge and skills in ERP to an approved, consultancy-based task. Proposals for projects will normally be developed in conjunction with the unit of study Business Research Methods (BMO6630). Research may include analysis and anticipation of user or business needs; business scenario development and business case studies; the study of existing business practices and solutions, and innovative business models development.

BCO6676 Business Intelligence System (SAP BI) (36 hours)
The unit of study will utilise a data warehouse system to enable students to develop the skills for the design and implementation of business intelligence systems. The content will include: Conceptual modelling techniques, data extraction techniques, data transformation, info cube design, query and report design, performance considerations, security and authorisations, data warehouse management.

JES0001 Material Management (36 hours)  
This unit will develop knowledge and concepts and issues related to the use of Materials Management in ERP and. It will teach trainees about major features of procurement such as determination of procurements, source determination, vendor selection, purchase order processing and monitoring. The trainees will also learn inventory management transactions such as goods receipt, goods issue, and goods transfer and Vendor Invoice verification.

JES0002 Sales and Distribution (36 hours)
This unit develop knowledge and concepts and issues related to the use of Sales and Distribution in ERP. It will teach trainees about major features of presales, sales order preparation, Delivery processing, picking and shipping of the materials to the customers and billing the customers. The trainees will also learn enterprise structure with respect to sales and distribution.

JES0005 IS Project (36 hours)
This unit adopts a problem –based learning approach applied to real-life scenarios. It aims to pull together all the knowledge students have gained throughout the course and apply them in small projects. In this unit students are expected to learn configuration of SAP ERP functional modules. This unit will add more dimension to the knowledge and skills students have gained at the foundation level of the modules. Students will apply such configuration skills to real life situations and execute actions based on the case provided.

Assessment is predominantly project and laboratory based. Some units have an examination.

The teaching methodology includes lectures, tutorials, practical computer laboratory activities and case study analysis.

Students will have 24x7 access to Victoria University's SAP servers in Australia with the latest training version SAP ECC 6.0 installed.

The program is 100% delivered in Singapore and conducted by Victoria University visiting faculty from Australia and local lecturers.

For practical classes the teacher to student ratio is 1:30; for theory classes, it is 1:60.

Candidates who have the following can apply for enrollment:

• A Bachelor degree in any specialisation with or without professional experience, OR,
• A Postgraduate qualification (Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma) in any specialisation with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, OR,
• Candidates with no Bachelor degree or Post Graduate qualifications but with relevant professional work experience may be eligible to enrol in the Graduate Diploma in ERP Systems. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in ERP Systems, graduates may proceed to the Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) course. (Note: Unit exemptions may be granted for relevant professional experience which will be assessed on a case by case basis by the Course Coordinator), AND
• Professional level proficiency in the English language as demonstrated by an International English Language Test Score (IELTS)(Academic Module) of 6.5 overall with no individual band score less than 6.0. Candidates who have English as their first language, or have completed a previous qualification(s) in the English language, are deemed to have met this entry requirement.

Upon completion of the following units, students will, in addition to the Victoria University master award, receive the important industry certifications: SAP Alliance Certificate, awarded jointly by Victoria University and SAP Australia:

To receive the Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) Degree, the student must pass all 16 course units described above.

Students undertaking this master course may alternatively opt for an early exit upon the successful completion of:

1. Eight approved units to satisfy the requirements of the Graduate Diploma of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems).

OR

2. Four approved units to satisfy the requirements of Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems. (BCO6603, BCO5651,BCO5647 and One Elective)
