NICF - IT Project Management

The objective of this modular course is to provide knowledge and skill of Project Management. It is accomplished through the appropriate application and integration of the following process groups Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and controlling and Closing.  

 

This course imparts knowledge and skills across the below ten project management Knowledge Areas:

  • Project Integration Management
  • Project Scope Management
  • Project Time Management
  • Project Cost Management
  • Project Quality Management
  • Project Human Resource Management
  • Project Communications Management
  • Project Risk Management
  • Project Procurement Management
  • Project Stakeholder Management  

This course is aligned with Singapore’s SSG WSQ NICF and meets the PMP® Exam requirement of Project Management Education hours as well as real world project management needs. It covers all knowledge areas of PMI’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).

Session Outline Activities

Session 1: Orientation & Lecture - Live (3 hrs)

The student has to attend a Live Orientation Session conducted at LA campus or go through a recording of the Orientation Session.

After the Orientation, the Lecturer will introduce the module by conducting the lectures on:

  • IU2: Organisational Influences and Project Lifecycle

Students will perform the following activity:

  • Implement client management process 

Session 13: Summative Assessment (1 hr)

Students will  attempt a Theory Test

After session: Assessor will review and provide feedback (15 mins)
