Q1. What is Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)?
Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS) offers additional support for SMEs, to send their staff for training, including:
1. Higher Course Fee Grant: SMEs enjoy SkillsFuture Funding of up to 90% of the course fees when they sponsor their employees to attend courses supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
2. Enhanced Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding: SMEs may claim AP funding of 80% of basic hourly salary at a higher cap of $7.50 per hour, an increase over the normal cap of $4.50 per hour.
SMEs
=====
The following types of training are covered under the Enhanced Training Support for SMEs. (All employers of workers who meet the eligibility criteria for Workfare Training Support (WTS) scheme will continue to receive course fee funding under the WTS scheme.) :
a) Modular Course Fee Funding - Up to 90% course fee grant
b) Absentee Payroll funding - 80% of basic hourly salary, capped at $7.50 per hour
(All employers of workers who meet the eligibility criteria for Workfare Training Support (WTS) scheme will continue to enjoy absentee payroll funding under the WTS scheme.)
Non-SMEs
=========
a) Modular Course Fee Funding
i) For Singaporeans and PR below 40
(1) Non-PMET - Up to 90% of course fees
(2) PMET - Up to 70% of course fees
ii) For Singaporeans above 40 –
(1) Non-PMET - Up to 90% of course fees
(2) PMET - Up to 90% of course fees
b) Absentee Payroll - Non-PMET and PMET - 80% of hourly basic salary capped at $4.50 per hour.
