This course is part one in a series of three courses that provides the skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment. These courses are:
- Install and Configure Windows Server 2012
- Administering Windows Server 2012
- Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012
This course is intended for information technology professionals who have good Windows operating system knowledge and experience, and want to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to implement the core infrastructure services in an existing Windows Server 2012 environment.
This course primarily covers the initial implementation and configuration of core services including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), networking services, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 configuration, how to configure and manage high availability features, file and storage solutions, and network services in Windows Server 2012.

This intensive course is designed to effectively prepare aspiring professionals to sit and pass the Microsoft Certified Solution Associate Professional Exam (MCSA). The MCSA Certification program is intended for people who seek entry-level jobs in an IT Infrastructure environment. MCSA is a prerequisite for more advanced Microsoft certifications.
This course will satisfy the MCSA Exam requirements as well as real world Microsoft solution needs for:
- Install and Configure Windows Server 2012
- Target Job Roles
Students, upon completion of the 3-part MCSA course, should be able to assume the following job roles:
- Computer support specialist
- Associate System Administrator
- System Administrator

- Technical Support Engineer

- Implementing File and Print Services
- Implementing Group Policy
- Securing Windows Servers Using Group Policy Objects
- Implementing Server Virtualization with Hyper-V
- Delivery Schedule and Method
Delivery Schedule:
- The module will be delivered in 12 evening sessions of 3 hrs each
- 7 pm to 10 pm
- There will be 1 or 2 sessions in a week
Delivery Method:
- Lecture time will be divided equally into class rooming and comprehensive work shop training. During workshop training, there will be tutorials and hands on practical activities
- Trained Microsoft Certified Trainers from varied industry background. Trainers have conducted extensive training in several Microsoft courses. Trainers must also have completed ACTA.
Trainer-Student ratio is maintained at 1:20

- Entry Requirements
- Students must have previous IT related experience
- Students must be Singaporeans or Singapore PRs to avail of SSG funding
- Certificates Issued
Upon completion of the module under SSG funding, students will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) Certificates from SSG . The details of SOA of each module are given below.

- Education Pathway
Students need to successfully complete another 2 modules:
- Administering Windows Server 2012
- Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012
To be eligible for the Microsoft MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solution Associate Professional) certification exam.
Once the students have successfully passed MCSA certification exam, they will receive MCSA Certificate from Microsoft.
- Graduation Requirements
Students need to complete the following 2 assessments:
- Theory Exam: Students will be given 10 short questions and they need to answer in 45 minutes
- Practical Exam: Students will be asked to do 3 practical performance tasks in Microsoft server environment. Duration of this exam is 2 hrs.
After successful completion of these assessments students will be graded "Competent" (C) and will receive the Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SSG
