Singapore, June 29, 2014 – Lithan Academy, an accredited SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre, held its 2014 Graduation Ceremony on 28 June 2014 at its new location in the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI). Over 500 graduates were awarded their diplomas and advanced certificates for successfully completing their National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF) courses and Master of Business (ERP Systems) from Victoria University, Australia.

Mr. Ng Cher Pong, Chief Executive, SSG graced the event. Other distinguished guests included senior executives from the Singapore Computer Society, Lifelong Learning Institute, and Victoria University, Australia.

Mr Azzli Jamain, Director of the Creative and Professional Services Division at SSG said, "We are pleased to collaborate with Lithan Academy in rolling out relevant industry programmes based on competencies identified under NICF. This is part of our larger efforts to equip existing Infocomm Technology (ICT) professionals as well as new entrants with industry relevant skills, to aid them in their career progression and for them to remain competitive in the ever evolving ICT industry."

Lithan Academy's NICF courses provide knowledge and practical skills that allow graduates to successfully assume high-demand job roles required by the infocomm industry. Examples of such job roles include those in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data Analytics, Systems Administration, Technopreneurship, and Infocomm Sales and Marketing.

Lithan Academy's NICF courses are also internationally recognized and enable individuals to continue to deepen their skills upon graduation. "Several of our NICF-accredited courses can be articulated to top foreign university degree programmes. For example, our NICF courses in ERP and BI have been articulated into Victoria University's Master of Business (ERP Systems)." said Krishna Ramoo, Chief Operating Officer of Lithan Academy.

Krishna further explained that "Our courses combine practical hands-on training, apprenticeships, and industry-relevant projects and case studies. So not only do our graduates receive NICF qualifications and a degree (for those who opted for advanced studies), they also receive industry certifications and valuable work experience."
