Web Content Display
This course aims to enhance students' knowledge and understanding of Project Management. It is accomplished through the appropriate application and integration of the following process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and controlling and Closing.
This course will satisfy the PMP Exam requirement of Project Management Education hours as well as what the real world project management needs. It will cover all knowledge areas of PMI's Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

36 hrs (12 evening sessions of 3 hrs per session )
- 1 or 2 lessons in a week
- Total duration of the training is 36 hours. Out of this, 24 hours will be a classroom lecture and 12 hours will be a case study discussion of project management concepts.
- After completing the module, students will be issued a Certificate of Attendance for the 35 hours of formal education (one of the requirement for PMP Certification exam)
- Students who enrol with WDA funding need to complete the assessments at the end of the module (refer details of assessments in unit guide )
- The students who enrol with WDA funding will be issued SOAs after successfully completing the module.
Delivery Method:
Students will be trained by PMI professionals from varied industry background. They have conducted extensive training in areas of Project Management and Risk management in the region. Trainers must also have relevant industry certification and ACTA.
Trainer-Student ratio is maintained at 1:20

- Entry Requirements
- Students with Diploma level of qualification must have a minimum of 5 years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience, during which at least 7,500 hours are spent leading and directing the project
- Students with Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 3 years/36 months of professional project management experience, during which at least 4,500 hours are spent leading and directing the project
- Students must be Singaporean / SPR to avail WDA funding
- Certificates Issued
Upon successful completion of this module students will be issued with following SOAs:
- IT-PM-403S-1 - Manage project scope
- IT-PM-406S-1 - Manage project risk
- Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass or deemed Competent (C) in assessments. Student upon failing will need to take the module again. An additional charge applies in such cases.

For Company-sponsored Students
To encourage more Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to send their employers for skills upgrading and to enhance productivity, the Government will be increasing the funding subsidy for this group. The Enhanced Training Support for SMEs will help SMEs further lower the cost of sending their employees for certifiable training programmes supported by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). SMEs will get to enjoy subsidies of 90% of the course fees when they sponsor their employees for the above-mentioned courses.
