1. Who is Lithan?

Location
Lithan has its headquarters in Singapore, with campuses in Singapore, India, Malaysia and Myanmar. We will set up our campuses in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines by March 2019.
2. Is Lithan accredited/certified?
Lithan is Edutrust-certified by Council for Private Education (CPE), a government agency that regulates private education in Singapore. It is also a Centre for Continuous Education and Training (CET) appointed and certified by Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG), a government body under Singapore’s Ministry of Education.
We are accredited by SSG, Victoria University, Scottish Qualifications Authority and Pearson.

1. How is the programme structured?
6-month immersive bootcamp
Your journey starts with a 6-month bootcamp that takes place on weekdays from 9am to 6pm on campus. You will receive over 1,000 hours of guided training by industry practitioners - 3 times the time spent in traditional 360 hours of training.
18-month apprenticeship
After gaining the skills, we will place you into a 6-month full time internship where you get to apply what you have learnt and also start earning. With satisfactory performance, be employed full time for the next 12 months to continue your on-the-job training while studying part time. Upon successful completion, receive a Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) which is recognised by international universities.
12-month top-up degree
You can choose to study with Lithan and enter the final year of a degree from Victoria University, Australia (where you will graduate with a Bachelor of Information Technology).
You can also choose to complete your degree programme with other universities.
2. How are lessons conducted?
You will undergo a 6-month full-time immersive bootcamp from 9am - 6pm daily on weekdays. The structured programme ensures you gain the necessary knowledge and skills via a blended learning delivery. This is achieved through a combination of online content and digitally broadcast live lectures led by industry practitioners.
You will also be assigned to mentors who will guide you during your course of study. They will review the concepts taught and ensure you have sufficient understanding to complete your integrated projects and assignments. Assignments are to be completed and submitted through our online student portal for grading. By the end of the bootcamp, you will be equipped with the skills that get you job-ready.
As part of the digital training, you are expected to interact with your classmates of different nationalities who are located in various parts of the world. This simulates the real-life working environment of a web developer, who is often expected to collaborate in a diverse environment where people of different cultures work together as a team.

Our Earn and Learn Programme is based on Pearson's BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Computing.
Our Foundation Programme is based on Pearson's BTEC Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in IT.
4. What do I graduate with?
You will graduate with a Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND). These qualifications are fully recognised - you can convert your HND to a bachelor's degree with extra study. You can choose to study with Lithan to get a 1-year top-up degree from Victoria University, Australia. Or you may choose to apply to any other universities which accept the Pearson HND Diploma.
5. When is the next intake?
We have an intake every quarter. For the actual start date in your country, kindly refer to our career advisors. You can also register your interest and our career advisors will respond to you.

1. What career does this programme prepare me for?
Ranked as one of the most in-demand tech jobs for 2019, an established web developer can earn between US$83,500 to US$142,000 per annum. They can be working for offshore companies in a multi-matrix environment or local startups working on a technological product.
Web development combines creativity and analytical skills perfectly, and the demand for web developers is going strong. With knowledge of both front-end and back-end processes, web developers can develop a full website, from the layout and user functions of a webpage to the backend database and web applications.
As companies strive to keep up with the new digital economy and improve their online presence, web developers will definitely be in high demand for years to come.
2. How does the apprenticeship work?
After the 6-month bootcamp, you will embark on the work-study portion of the programme. This is made up of a 6-month full-time paid internship followed by a 12-month full-time paid apprenticeship. Throughout this work-study journey, you will work full time with a local or offshore company, while studying part time.
You will be given an allowance of up to US$100 on a progressive basis according to your performance and the experience you gain.
At the end of your internship, you will be assessed on your performance to determine if you can continue your apprenticeship with the same company. In the event that you do not, we can place you with another company to restart your internship. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
We encourage you to give your dedication and best performance during this work-study programme so you can stand a chance of landing a full-time position with the company at the end of your studies.

1. What is the course fee and payment structure?
For the Earn and Learn programme: US$300 per month on instalment, payable over 24 months.
For the foundation programme: US$200 per month on instalment, payable over 9 months.
For a top-up degree from Victoria University, Australia (in Lithan Academy, Singapore): US$600 per month on instalment, payable over 12 months.
2. How does the Pay After You Earn Scheme work?
Students with outstanding academic achievement can apply for the Pay After You Earn Scheme. Students under this programme will start paying their tuition fees only after they start earning an income.

1. How do I apply?
Step 1: You need to file an application form with transcripts of your highest academic qualifications to our career advisors to determine your eligibility.
Step 2: We will assess your application and provide you with a response within 7 working days.
Step 3: On confirmation of your eligibility, you will receive a student contract from Lithan within 3 working days.
Step 4: To finalise your enrolment, you need to electronically sign the contract. Our IT system will then capture this and our career advisors will be in touch with you to advise further.

Application for Pay After You Earn Scheme
Register your interest with our career advisors. We will require a soft copy of your highest academic qualifications and national ID/passport to determine your eligibility. Once you submit your academic qualifications, we will notify you on your application outcome within 7 working days.
