Vietnam's Quy Nhon University Joins Lithan's Pan-Asia CLaaS Alliances Network

Quy Nhon University adopts Lithan’s CLaaS model to enhance its offerings and provide industry-relevant education to its students.

Lithan Academy, a lifelong learning platform and a digital skills accelerator has signed an agreement with Quy Nhon University (QNU), Vietnam to jointly offer disruptive work-study degree programs to QNU’s students through Lithan’s trademarked learning and mentoring solution CLaaS®.

This partnership is another milestone in Lithan’s quickly expanding Pan-Asia CLaaS Alliances network to collaboratively develop global-ready talents for the post-Covid digital economy.

CLaaS Academy with a comprehensive network of university alliances across Asia connects higher education students, working adults, enterprises, industry experts, tech vendors, and higher education institutions for scalable talents incubation in the emerging Asian economies for distributed deployment across Asia. With artificial intelligence powered education technology, CLaaS offers personalized work2learn journeys that deliver tangible career outcomes and workplace skills utilization for learners.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting economic slowdown, Lithan has successfully been building its partnerships with various private and public institutions across Asia. This is a testimony to the success of CLaaS and its acceptance as a revolutionary education model that fits into the region’s aspiration to develop and harness its manpower for a global economic influence.

Under the partnership with Quy Nhon University, Lithan on QNU’s campus will deliver courses in digital business and software engineering. Lithan’s learning pedagogy supports experiential learning and access to industry professionals who provide work-oriented training and personal mentoring to students. The work-based applied learning pedagogy with a 70:20:10 learning model helps students acquire knowledge and skills in the classroom and learn how to apply them in workplaces across industries.

The work-study model of CLaaS offers students with the opportunity to work for local and international companies and earn 3 years’ work experience. Students can also choose the route to entrepreneurship where they will be personally mentored, whether they want to set up their e-commerce business, test their startup idea, or launch their marketing consultancy.

Lithan’s Founder and CEO, Leslie Loh’s vision is that education and work are intertwined now in a digital environment where learning is work and work is learning. In his words, “As traditional classroom-oriented education is rendered ineffective, we aim to mitigate mismatches in supply and demand for digital skills and talents across Asia with the implementation of CLaaS. Virtualization is fueling borderless education and the demand for a skilled and knowledgeable digital workforce—regardless of the location—reaches a fever pitch. Lithan’s dual-track applied learning offers pathways toward digital careers where our learners develop multi-disciplinary hybrid skill sets through work, preparing them for Industry 4.0”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, rector of Quy Nhon University said, “QNU is continuously working towards strengthening international cooperation, and identifies this partnership with Lithan as an opportunity for technology transfer, contributing to improvement in the quality of training, consolidating the position of QNU in the period of integration” and adding that “The opportunity to cooperate with Lithan Institute was a first step in the journey of international integration” and expressed hope that in the following year, QNU and Lithan Academy would realize cooperation in training, fields of science and technology and the exchange of lecturers and students.
