UPJ Bintaro to incubate Glocal (Global Yet Local) Digital Talents with eduCLaaS

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) represented by Rector, Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D., and Lithan Academy Singapore, represented by Founder and CEO, Mr. Leslie Loh, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The signing marked a collaborative effort to offer International Undergraduate Program in Information Systems at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya in Bintaro Jaya, Tanggerang Selatan.

Lithan’s Competency Learning as a Service or CLaaS® courses enable digital upskilling of higher education students for the digital economy. They adopt a work-based learning pedagogy with a competency-based curriculum for blended learning journeys that deliver tangible career and business outcomes. eduCLaaS is Lithan’s international subsidiary through which the eduCLaaS Alliance’s international partnerships are fulfilled.

UPJ continues to expand its international partnerships as a way to enhance its international reach. UPJ envisions itself as a Top University in Urban Study and has proven itself as an institution that strives for quality education and excellence. In the recent ranking published by the Indonesian Ministry of Education in August 2020, UPJ was ranked number 92 from over 4500 universities, and notably the youngest university in the league of Top 100 Universities in Indonesia.

UPJ Rector, Leenawaty Limantara made a positive assertion upon the signing of this MoU. In her words, “UPJ is in the stage of expanding its programs including a post-graduate program which we’d like to launch in the near future, and we do hope that this collaboration between UPJ and Lithan Academy will play an important part in the development of UPJ and we’re really looking forward to a long-lasting sustainable collaboration.”

eduCLaaS’s Founder and CEO, Leslie Loh said, “Traditional classroom-oriented training is time-invasive with high opportunity costs for adult learners and enterprises. Our integrated digital skills acceleration CLaaS® with transformation mentoring deliver workplace digital upskilling with digital transformation outcomes.”

He further added, “We welcome UPJ Bintaro in joining our Pan-Asia eduCLaaS platform for incubating Glocal (Global yet Local) digital talents ready for growth in the post-Covid digital economy.”
